Rangoli Kolam is considered auspicious as it signifies the wealth and prosperity of the house and the family that belong there. Sometimes it is considered as the repellent for the evil forces to try enter the home. It gives a positive energy.
Rangoli is the free form of art drawn in the entrance floors. It may be drawn using limestone powder which is normally called as kolapodi(Tamil)or rangoli powder in general. some times on special occasions they are also drawn using Rice flour.
Vilakku Rangoli Kolam
This is the simple daily rangoli design suitable for every floor entrance. I have used Triangele as a base and i have created further designs. There is also vilakku added to the rangoli design to make it more auspicious. This rangoli is drawn using white rangoli powder alone.
